Product Description Who says dictionaries have to be dull? Berlitz's new Concise Dictionaries are a fun and effective tool for language learners. With approximately 50,000 entries, it is a comprehensive reference work. But that's where the similarity to other bilingual dictionaries ends. An exclusive 48-page bonus section, filled with word games and puzzles, challenges the user to hone vocabulary, spelling, grammar and comprehension skills while engaging in a popular, enjoyable pastime.

| Customer Reviews: comprehensive and easy to use August 30, 2009 Richard Almasi (Europa) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
You can look-up a word by:
1. following the romanized pronunciation of the word - if you know how it is pronounced or written
2. using the Jooyoo Kanji-system based on the number of strokes in a character - if you don't know how a word is pronounced or written but know how to count strokes
3. using the hiragana & katakana system which the book also has a guide for
It's a very nice and easy dictionary to use, the type-setting and use of color is nice, easy on the eyes.
A sample of the words it includes: bumblebee, censorship, drivers-license, endangered species, flirt, health club, lecture, moose, plaster...
Berlitz used to be better May 1, 2010 Armando Bautista I bought the dictionary because Berlitz has a name on the street. Well, by the dictionary, it is no longer so. The content of the dictionary is limited and the craftsmanship is worse. I mean only after a month in my possession and using the dictionary only a few times, I am ready to have to buy another one. The book is coming to pieces! Hope other buyers do not fall in the same trap I did.
